How it works
Five steps, all of them from home
Here's what happens between your first call and your discharge, and what you do at each step.
- 01Day 1
Step 1: A free video call
Thirty minutes with a lawyer. You leave knowing which chapter fits and what it costs, in writing.
- 02Week 1
Step 2: Upload your papers
Pay stubs, tax returns, bank statements and your bills, sent from your phone to a secure folder. We send a checklist.
- 03Week 2 or 3
Step 3: Review it on screen
Your lawyer goes over every page of the petition with you on video. You sign from your phone.
- 04Filing day
Step 4: We file, and the calls stop
The court's automatic stay starts the day we file. We send you a letter to read to any collector who still calls.
- 05About a month on
Step 5: The meeting and the discharge
A short meeting with the trustee, with your lawyer beside you. In Chapter 7 the discharge usually follows about two months later.
Your end of the video call
Nothing to install. A phone works; a laptop is easier for the long meeting.

A quiet room
Somewhere you can talk about money without being overheard.
Your last two paystubs
Or a benefits letter, if that's your income.
A list of who calls you
Names are enough. We find the balances.
Step one takes thirty minutes
Pick a time, and we'll send a video link and the checklist.
